Software Development Engineer in Test

Trove is a software startup looking to hire a software developer to join our test automation team. We are building end-to-end automated testing into our CI process for our iOS, Android, and desktop apps. If you're passionate about quality, test automation, and good software architecture, this could be your chance to make an impact at an ambitious ground level startup!

Responsibilities
  • Take start-to-finish technical ownership of feature testing and infrastructure enhancements/features.
  • Work with the design and app teams to identify acceptance criteria and testability issues.
  • Participate in test infrastructure development to execute on product quality deliverables and help drive architectural decisions and development priorities.
  • Experiment with the application on a variety of platforms and devices to identify usability concerns.
Skills and Requirements
  • An interest in test automation, either for the mechanics (an application that runs other applications!) or the end result (finding bugs before users!).
  • Outstanding engineering talent proven by great results, interesting hobby projects, open source contributions,or superior academic results.
  • 2+ years of experience in python development (3.x experience preferred).
  • Fluent in writing well-documented code and explaining methods.
  • A degree in computer science or similar is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with CI systems (such as Jenkins) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in mobile penetration testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Trove is looking for a Vice President of Sales willing to get their hands dirty and build an enterprise business with us. This person will report to the CEO and will define the strategy for identifying Trove enterprise customers and selling to them. We believe we have a massive opportunity and are looking for someone to capitalize on it. As business develops, the Vice President of Sales will build a team that scales with demand.

  • Build enterprise sales function at Trove
  • Represent Trove in enterprise opportunities and do what it takes to close that business
  • Learn from early engagements to identify prime targets and create pipeline
  • Develop strategy for targeting most promising vertical markets
  • Test and iterate on pricing strategy
  • Global territory with a strong focus on the United States
  • Significant travel required
Qualifications

A prime candidate for this role will have years of experience working in startups to build sales strategy and pipeline from the ground up. The candidate will also need to bring credibility in engagements with Enterprise customers who are considering entrusting sensitive data to Trove

  • Accomplished sales executive with 15+ years earning Enterprise business
  • 10+ years experience selling technology products and services
  • Demonstrable success growing business from the ground up at one or more technology start ups
  • Demonstrable commitment to building sales teams through effective hiring and coaching
  • 4-year degree in Business, Technical, Engineering or related field
  • Remote work is fine, but significant time in Ann Arbor will be required
