Washington, D.C. lawmakers are trying to prevent bad late night decisions, by passing a law requiring a 24-hour waiting period before you get a tattoo.
The law, known as "Think Before You Ink," was proposed by the city's department of health.
The proposed law, which would also apply to body piercings, would also require all "body artists" to be vaccinated for hepatitis B and undergo bio-hazard training.
District tattoo artists are worried the law will affect their bottom line by eliminating walk-in service.
Washington, D.C. residents have 30 days to comment on the proposal before it could be put into law.
